Hark! The Harold Angel's Sing

from Hark! Lonely Android Boys by Willem Kristoferson

/

about

A Athetical twist on an otherwise boring traditional Christian anthem (Did I just make that word up? Probably). What better time to question the existence of God then Christmas time.

lyrics

Hark! the herald Angels sing,
Glory to the new the newborn king,
Peace on Earth and mercy mild,
God and sinner reconciled,
Joyful all ye nations rise,
Join the triumph of the skies,
With angelic host proclaim Chirst is born in Bethlehem.

Christ by highest Heav'n adored,
Christ the everlasting Lord,
Late in time behold him come,
Offspring of a virgin's womb,
Veiled in flesh the Godhead see,
Hail the incarnate Deity,
Pieced as man with man to dwell,
Jesus our Emmanuel.

I been watching and been waiting for the Servant, unforsaking,
To save my bitter and lost soul, and to heal it. It's for the taking.
Oh! The Sheppard, pretty baby, I need your help. I need saving;
Not in snowfall but in sunlight. I'll be your man and you will be mine.

(For infinity, maybe later. Bearded-loving-sin-eraser.)

I'm no Catholic. Don't be dreaming. I'm not Islamic, I'm a heathen.
I'm an Agnostic, and a good one: I am civil when it is needed.
Maybe someday, if I'm praying, I will understand what He's saying:
To believe in something bigger, but for now it's all in the seeing.

(Cardinal or Cannibal? Christ the man or Christ the soul?
If you put a man to rest should you use his name for death?)
